Edenlight
It was a dark and stormy night and the water was rising over the banks of the river.
A prisoner sat in a concrete cell staring at a wall listening to a lonely sound that might offer some hope.
Somewhere blackbirds fell from the winter sky to the ground.
A guitar and harmonica were playing old songs that had just been written.
Songs about love, betrayal, renewal, and hope.
The rain kept falling but it didn't matter because the sun was shining brighter than ever.
You can't make these things up, they just happen. Edenlight.
Jadran was organized in 1957 as part of the Croatian Social and Glee Club "Jadran".
The Croatian Social and Glee Club "Jadran" offers college scholarships to graduating high school seniors
who are current members of Jadran Junior Tamburitzans
and have been performing for at least 2 years with the group.
Billy the Kid and the Regulators are a high powered, guitar driven, funky, rhythm and blues band.
Leanne Regalla is a performing songwriter with a fun and unconventional approach to life & music.
She brings her thoughtful, humorous perspectives to her writing and performances.
Her colorful lyrics will surprise you and her memorable melodies
will have you humming her songs to yourself long after the show.
Her sound has been compared to Mary Chapin Carpenter, Natalie Merchant and Jewel,
with a snarkiness reminiscent of Sara Bareilles or Alanis Morissette.\
Twelve Inch Tom is: Shamus Ganster lead vocals, Dave Miklos drums, Eric Hofmann bass guitar and David Durbin lead guitar.
The musical road of Twelve Inch Tom has been a long, winding road with
plenty of twists and turns but, with their line up now set in stone,
just ask anyone that has been to their show and they will tell that they
have never sounded better and are one of the best bands you will ever
see.
Twelve Inch Tom began about 5 years ago as the brainchild of Eric
Hofmann and Dave Miklos and although guitarist David Durbin didn't join
until late 2010,
the three were the core of the bands Big Trouble and Iroquois in the mid
and early 90's regularly playing the North Hills and Pittsburgh areas.
Along with strong original material in the band Big Trouble they covered
songs by metal giants like Van Halen, Megadeth, Yngwie Malmsteen,
Aerosmith and Mr. Big.
With the sudden surgence of the Seattle 'grunge' sound their hard rock/metal band dissolved and life lead the members
in different directions and musical influences that included stints with Reggae, Blues Rock and Hard Core groups.
With the encouragement of good friends and a few twists of fate they
found new life and musical inspiration once again in Twelve Inch Tom.
As Twelve Inch Tom they've played the club and bar circuits in and around Pittsburgh
at such places as The Rochester Inn, Oakmont Tavern and Jay's Sports Bar at the Pittsburgh Penguins practice ice in Southpointe.
In the fall of 2012 they found themselves needing to fill their lead
vocal spot and were searching for the perfect fit when long time friend
Shamus Ganster was able to complete the line up.
Shamus brings to Twelve Inch Tom that final piece of musical diversity that a lot of bands can only wish for.
What Shamus gives Twelve Inch Tom is the ability to effortlessly move you from classic rock like Hendrix
and The Doors to current rock from Kings of Leon or Gavin Magraw.
They can hit you with alternative music by Smashing Pumpkins or
Social Distortion and follow it up with songs by Van Halen and Poison.
They have a way of taking a song like David Bowie's 'Fame' and by putting their spin to it making it their own.
With Shamus fronting the band they can get the crowd dancing with rock by Jet or reggae from Sublime
and 311 or they can throw you a complete curve ball by doing their own version of Gin & Juice by Snoop Dogg.
Their wide range of musical influences is evident in their original
songs which have been described as a "collage of the very best of every
era of rock music".
Twelve Inc Tom has been hard at work writing new originals as well as revising their set list of covers.
Student Vocal Performances.
